How
can 10 simple articles change your life?
A good friend of mine recently quit his day job and began selling baseball cards on Ebay to pay the bills. He’s done a lot more than just pay the bills, though, as he’s become his own boss and now works about 70% less than he did when he was “employed.” And his income? Oh, maybe quadrupled.

Although he’s only been at it for about four months now, he’s really improved his quality of life substantially — it’s the kind of success that makes you half-jealous but also inspires you to go out and do something similar for yourself.

But despite his initial success, my buddy realizes that he can accomplish more. Problem is, he’s not quite sure how to go about it.

Earlier this week, I was over at his house, and he wanted to know if I thought his baseball card business could benefit in any way from having a Web site. For instance, could he build an online storefront that would help him reach customers outside of Ebay?

In theory, owning a Web site provides a nice platform from which to build an audience and raise the profile of your business.

In practice, however, most Web sites end up becoming useless chunks of digital real estate, barely worth the price tag that accompanied the original domain.

As I was formulating a response to my friend’s question, I began to realize that a majority of people out there simply don’t understand how to approach business on the Web. Of course, this is precisely why so many sites become “useless chunks of real estate.”

It’s not about technology — it’s about equity

So, where do most people go wrong?

Innovation happens so fast on the Web that it’s easy to become blinded by feature-rich technology and software. We are constantly hit with messages of “the next big thing,” and so we naturally assign value to what we perceive to be breakthrough innovations.

As a result, we begin to think that in order to conduct a successful online venture, we must include all this new and excellent functionality that has become available thanks to new technologies.

God help you if someone thinks you’re so 2005, right?

The problem here is that our perception of equity on the Web has been skewed unnaturally.

Yes, it’s true that there is value in new technology. For a company like YouTube, there was unbelievable equity in their product.

But here’s the real mind blower:

The real equity on the Web lies in the content, not in the technology that helps us produce it.

Think for a second here. Do you really care how that Weird Al video was delivered to you on YouTube, or do you just care about the video itself?

The equity lies in what your content is, not how it got there.

So what does this mean for my buddy’s Web site and his baseball card business?
It means that a bunch of fancy-pants technology driving a state-of-the-art, online storefront would be a terrible investment.

Thanks to the incredible rate of innovation, even your everyday Joe can go out and get a remarkably functional online storefront. This fact alone drives the potential equity of a Web-based store into the toilet.

Let’s look at this in real-world terms everyone can understand. If you want to go buy 500 acres out in the boonies, you might expect to see a cost of about $3000 per acre. If, however, you wanted to buy 500 acres within the metropolitan area of a major US city, you might expect to pay $150,000 per acre, if not more!

The bottom line is that there’s not a whole lot of equity in things that:
  • are not scarce
  • are not unique
It’s true that some companies and programmers actually need to focus on technology, because that’s where their equity is.

But your equity lies in your content, because it’s the one thing you can bring to the marketplace that is both scarce and unique.

It all starts with 10 simple articles.

So, how can 10 simple articles change your life?

These articles will serve as the foundation for your Web site — not to mention the future of your business. Savvy marketers certainly know the value of 10 articles on a niche topic, and I truly believe that there is absolutely nothing better you can do for your business.

By writing 10 simple articles on a topic that you love, you’ll effectively:
  1. Create equity in your site.
  2. Add equity to your business.
Let’s say you stick with writing articles on that topic for a year, and by the end of that time, you’ve accrued 100 articles. When all is said and done, you’ll own a Web site that is chock-full of detailed, current, and pertinent articles on your subject, and you’ll likely have a very targeted (and interested) audience who have all opted to come along for the ride.

And if you never believe anything else I say, make damn sure you believe this:

Google loves Web sites like this.

In my buddy’s case, if all he had were an online storefront and a slick AJAX interface, anyone could step into his market and compete against him with their own storefront. In essence, there would be no equity in his site because anyone could replicate what he already had with their own products…

But they’d have one hell of a time trying to compete with his content.

If he had 100 articles and they had none, it would be a joke. The bottom line is that in any topic, whoever controls the information flow around that subject holds all the power.

By writing articles on baseball cards, my buddy could establish himself as the preeminent source of information on that topic. He could build a valuable Web site and a targeted, interested audience at almost no cost. In as little as 9 or 10 months, he could create so many channels through which to make money that it would be utterly ridiculous.

At that point, his only problem would be figuring out how to further capitalize on all the opportunities that he’d created for himself.

And it all would have started with 10 simple articles.

In every bloggers life comes a special day - the day they first launch a new blog. Now unless you went out and purchased someone else's blog chances are your blog launched with only one very loyal reader - you. Maybe a few days later you received a few hits when you told your sister, father, girlfriend and best friend about your new blog but that's about as far you went when it comes to finding readers.

Here are the top 10 techniques new bloggers can use to find readers. These are tips specifically for new bloggers, those people who have next-to-no audience at the moment and want to get the ball rolling.

It helps if you work on this list from top to bottom as each technique builds on the previous step to help you create momentum. Eventually once you establish enough momentum you gain what is called "traction", which is a large enough audience base (about 500 readers a day is good) that you no longer have to work too hard on finding new readers. Instead your current loyal readers do the work for you through word of mouth.

Top 10 Tips

10. Write at least five major "pillar" articles. A pillar article is a tutorial style article aimed to teach your audience something. Generally they are longer than 500 words and have lots of very practical tips or advice. This article you are currently reading could be considered a pillar article since it is very practical and a good "how-to" lesson. This style of article has long term appeal, stays current (it isn't news or time dependent) and offers real value and insight. The more pillars you have on your blog the better.

9. Write one new blog post per day minimum. Not every post has to be a pillar, but you should work on getting those five pillars done at the same time as you keep your blog fresh with a daily news or short article style post. The important thing here is to demonstrate to first time visitors that your blog is updated all the time so they feel that if they come back tomorrow they will likely find something new. This causes them to bookmark your site or subscribe to your blog feed.

You don't have to produce one post per day all the time but it is important you do when your blog is brand new. Once you get traction you still need to keep the fresh content coming but your loyal audience will be more forgiving if you slow down to a few per week instead. The first few months are critical so the more content you can produce at this time the better.

8. Use a proper domain name. If you are serious about blogging be serious about what you call your blog. In order for people to easily spread the word about your blog you need a easily rememberable domain name. People often talk about blogs they like when they are speaking to friends in the real world (that's the offline world, you remember that place right?) so you need to make it easy for them to spread the word and pass on your URL. Try and get a .com if you can and focus on small easy to remember domains rather than worry about having the correct keywords (of course if you can get great keywords and easy to remember then you've done a good job!).

7. Start commenting on other blogs. Once you have your pillar articles and your daily fresh smaller articles your blog is ready to be exposed to the world. One of the best ways to find the right type of reader for your blog is to comment on other people's blogs. You should aim to comment on blogs focused on a similar niche topic to yours since the readers there will be more likely to be interested in your blog.

Most blog commenting systems allow you to have your name/title linked to your blog when you leave a comment. This is how people find your blog. If you are a prolific commentor and always have something valuable to say then people will be interested to read more of your work and hence click through to visit your blog.

6. Trackback and link to other blogs in your blog posts. A trackback is sort of like a blog conversation. When you write a new article to your blog and it links or references another blogger's article you can do a trackback to their entry. What this does is leave a truncated summary of your blog post on their blog entry - it's sort of like your blog telling someone else's blog that you wrote an article mentioning them. Trackbacks often appear like comments.

This is a good technique because like leaving comments a trackback leaves a link from another blog back to yours for readers to follow, but it also does something very important - it gets the attention of another blogger. The other blogger will likely come and read your post eager to see what you wrote about them. They may then become a loyal reader of yours or at least monitor you and if you are lucky some time down the road they may do a post linking to your blog bringing in more new readers.

5. Encourage comments on your own blog. One of the most powerful ways to convince someone to become a loyal reader is to show there are other loyal readers already following your work. If they see people commenting on your blog then they infer that your content must be good since you have readers so they should stick around and see what all the fuss is about. To encourage comments you can simply pose a question in a blog post. Be sure to always respond to comments as well so you can keep the conversation going.

4. Submit your latest pillar article to a blog carnival. A blog carnival is a post in a blog that summarizes a collection of articles from many different blogs on a specific topic. The idea is to collect some of the best content on a topic in a given week. Often many other blogs link back to a carnival host and as such the people that have articles featured in the carnival often enjoy a spike in new readers.
To find the right blog carnival for your blog, do a search at blogcarnival.com.

3. Submit your blog to blogtopsites.com. To be honest this tip is not going to bring in a flood of new readers but it's so easy to do and only takes five minutes so it's worth the effort. Go to Blog Top Sites, find the appropriate category for your blog and submit it. You have to copy and paste a couple of lines of code on to your blog so you can rank and then sit back and watch the traffic come in. You will probably only get 1-10 incoming readers per day with this technique but over time it can build up as you climb the rankings. It all helps!

2. Submit your articles to EzineArticles.com. This is another tip that doesn't bring in hundreds of new visitors immediately (although it can if you keep doing it) but it's worthwhile because you simply leverage what you already have - your pillar articles. Once a week or so take one of your pillar articles and submit it to Ezine Articles. Your article then becomes available to other people who can republish your article on their website or in their newsletter.

How you benefit is through what is called your "Resource Box". You create your own resource box which is like a signature file where you include one to two sentences and link back to your website (or blog in this case). Anyone who publishes your article has to include your resource box so you get incoming links. If someone with a large newsletter publishes your article you can get a lot of new readers at once.

1. Write more pillar articles. Everything you do above will help you to find blog readers however all of the techniques I've listed only work when you have strong pillars in place. Without them if you do everything above you may bring in readers but they won't stay or bother to come back. Aim for one solid pillar article per week and by the end of the year you will have a database of over 50 fantastic feature articles that will work hard for you to bring in more and more readers.

I hope you enjoyed my list of traffic tips. Everything listed above are techniques I've put into place myself for my blogs and have worked for me, however it's certainly not a comprehensive list. There are many more things you can do. Finding readers is all about testing to see what works best for you and your audience and I have no doubt if you put your mind to it you will find a balance that works for you.

Hi All,

Daniel Scocco is a blogger from Brazil who used his blog as a launch pad for a membership site.

He went through Yaro Starak's Membership Site Mastermind program, then went to work to launch his membership site.

He did a 5-day launch and brought in OVER 200 members at $48 a month. If you do the math on that, he generated a $10,000 a month income stream in just five days.

That's incredible and inspiring stuff and you can hear Daniel and Yaro break down exactly what he did in this podcast interview here (it won't cost you anything) -

Live Podcast: How I built a $10k/Month Membership Site

What's particularly powerful about Daniel's story was how he was able to leverage the relationships he built up with high-profile experts in his industry.

He invited well known people to contribute content to his membership site, which meant he didn't have to do all the content creation work.

He also leveraged their fame and access to people to help sell his membership site. A brilliant strategy that you could replicate in your market, so you need to listen to this interview.

Set aside some time now, download the podcast and enjoy the discussion - it's truly motivational stuff -

There are literally thousands of business opportunities for entrepreneurs and small business owners to develop. Choosing a home based business that allows you flexibility and convenience can also be rewarding. Evaluating and building your work at home business opportunity into a successful business can be one of the most exciting activities in your career! We will examine several of the phases of startups that everyone should know about in this business article.

The main phases of any new business whether it is a home based business or a business that begins in a factory or elsewhere are conception and initial funding, preparation for launch, initial operations, significant growth and maturity. Not all business ideas will make it through all of these steps and some new business owners may not even realize they are moving through these stages. Regardless of the type of business, most will spend time in each and depending on the growth rates, some will spend more time in once phase or another.

Conception is the phase where most people come up with an idea and take this new business idea into a full-grown plan. They will need to do a business plan at this stage, especially if they need to find funding to support their startup phases. This stage also includes preparing your plans for how you will launch your company or home based business. Taking the time at this stage to properly plan all of your activities will ensure that there is better chances of success for you're new work at home business.

Preparing for launch involves everything that needs to be completed before you actually begin producing whatever you are going to produce. Whether it is software or widgets, you need to ensure that you have the right tools, space, employees, funding etc to ensure that on the day that you launch your business you are ready to be productive and deal with your customers in a professional way and ensure that your customers are 100% satisfied.

Launching your business can sometimes be almost anti-climatic if you have really done all of your homework. The first 30 to 60 days are critical; since this is when you begin to establish your customer base, establish your customer satisfaction and word of mouth sales etc. Many businesses will fail in these early days simply because the revenue did not come in and they ran out of funding. Pay particular attention to all of your operating details and ensure that your customers are extremely satisfied.

At some point successful home businesses are going to reach the curve of the hockey stick. This is when sales and business volume, which has been growing steadily, suddenly begins to take off sometimes in an exponential manner. This is nirvana for small business owners and entrepreneurs, however it can also be a death sentence as well if you are not prepared. Business planning at this stage is critical to ensure that you are growing your company in a manner that meets demand without over extending your finances, while still maintaining customer satisfaction levels. Many work at home business opportunities have the potential to mature into successful business if they are manage carefully through all phases.

work from home onlineThe Internet is the largest socio-economic phenomenon of our century. It changed the way people communicate, collaborate, and live. It also created a whole new type of worker: the online worker. Those are people who work full time on the Internet. Some make money through their blogs, others leverage affiliate marketing, others yet focus on providing services over the web.

Regardless of the business model, there are many reasons that make working online exciting. Below we’re going to cover some of them.

1. No more wasted time on commutes

Even if you live relatively close to your work, you’ll still waste a good amount of time commuting back and forth every day. For example, if your workplace is 30 minutes away from your home (either by car or by public transportation), you will waste 60 minutes per day, which translates into 240 hours every year.
What if instead of wasting those 240 hours commuting you could use them for something productive? You probably could read dozens of books, learn new things (i.e., how to play an instrument), exercise more and so on with all that time available.

2. You can work on your own terms

Imagine being able to wake up without an alarm clock every single day. If you work on the Internet you can work any time you want. Do you feel more productive at night? Then work at night. Do you want to take Wednesdays off to practice a sport? Go for it.
Working on your own terms also means that you can structure your working environment as you please. That is, you can wear some comfortable clothes instead of the annoying suit, listen to music while you work if that makes you more productive and so on.

3. You can work anywhere

We say “work from home,” but in reality you can work anywhere, and this is a great advantage. The only requirement is a reliable Internet connection, but you can get one virtually anywhere these days. You could work from cafes, parks, and even from the beach if you grab a wireless modem.
For the matter of fact you can even travel to other countries and still work on your websites as you would do if you were sitting on your home office (and many people do just that).

4. You can network with a lot of people

Online networking is certainly not as effective as face to face networking, but the fact that you get to interact with thousands of people certainly compensates.
By working on the Internet you’ll be able to meet and work with people from all around the world, from all fields and with all sorts of interests. Initially your relationship with those people will not be as strong as with local co-workers, but over time it might.
There are hundreds of cases of people who got hired, found partners and launched successful projects over the web without meeting the other side physically.

5. It is flexible

A great benefit of working online is the flexibility. You can create all sorts of websites, explore different niches and try different business models every single day.
For example, you could start with a blog on a topic you are passionate about, and after a while you could experiment launching an online store on the same niche offering some products to your visitors.
This flexibility makes working online both fun and profitable.

6. It might be less risky

Many people work 9 to 5 jobs because they believe it is a safer option. A regular job sends a pay check every month, after all, while an online business has many ups and downs.
To a certain extent this is true, but under many aspects having your own online (or offline for the matter of fact) business is actually less risky. For example, if you work for a company you could get fired any day. Sometimes even top performers are fired because the company needs to cut costs.
If you have your own business, on the other hand, no one will be able to fire you. Sure, the business could still go wrong, but that is a risk under your direct control.

7. You get to be your own boss

It would be tough to find a person who never had an annoying boss, right? Even if your boss is a nice guy, taking orders from someone else sucks.
By working online you’ll solve this problem for good. You’ll still have customers, readers and advertisers who will demand your attention, but the level of stress in dealing with those is significantly lower when compared to having a boss.

8. You get to develop business skills

Every website that is built with the purpose of making money can be seen as a small business entity. You will have to manage resources (e.g., web hosting, domain names), people (e.g., web designers, writers), clients (e.g., readers or customers) and so on. You’ll also need to plan the business model, the marketing activities and so on.
In other words, you’ll develop important business skills along the way, and this is something very valuable.

9. It might grow into a big business

Most websites start as a hobby. If your idea is good and you put enough work on it, however, it might grow into a big business. Just consider blogs like Tech Crunch. It started as a one-man show, and today it employs several writers, editors, and it generates millions in revenues every year.
And you don’t need to go to the very top to see this pattern. There are hundreds of web design, affiliate marketing and consulting firms that were started as a hobby and turned into profitable businesses over time.

10. Your work will go into something you own

We believe there are no shortcuts to success. Whether you work for a corporation or have your own small business, if you want to succeed you’ll need to work your butt off.
The difference of the two scenarios above is quite a big one, however. On the first one you’ll be putting your heart and soul on someone else’s business. Sure you might get a good salary in exchange for that, but the fact that someone else owns the whole thing and will collect most of the profits remains unchanged.
If you have your own online business, on the other hand, all your sweat will go into something that you actually own. If you hit a home run, you’ll collect all the profits, and you can also decide to sell the whole business down the road.

Conclusion

Now don’t get the wrong idea. Working from home online is not a panacea. It has drawbacks too, and it is not the right lifestyle for everyone (i.e., there are people who hate sitting in front of the computer for hours in a row). If you believe that the pros would out-weight the cons for you, however, give it a shot. You can start working on your websites without quitting your day job, and after six months or so you’ll be in a better position to decide if that is something you would like to do full time.

When you first begin to think if a Work From Home Business is right for you, you will find surprising things happen every day. They not only happen in secret faraway places, they happen all around you. Beyond the physical world that you can see, beyond your thoughts and emotions, there exists another world. A world of pure potential; a place where anything and everything are possible.

SOME PERSONAL HISTORY

Just 2 years ago I was working in Corporate America just like you. I played around on the internet, selling on eBay and was successful with that - I became a Power Seller, only eBay is like working for Corporate America - they have tons of rules to follow and if you want to keep your Power Seller status you need to follow the rules. Although, I realized that every business has rules - I even have rules in my own business that I must follow in order for me to be profitable and successful. I have a few ebooks on my site that you may be interest in if eBay is the business you would like to be in. It is still a very profitable business for me and can be for you.

In 2007 I retired from my corporate job to nanny my twin grandbabies Lauren and Hudson. They are the joy of my life. There is nothing better than being a grandmother. I continued to sell my items on eBay to subsidize my nanny income.

Then one day the light came on - although eBay has been very good for me, I wanted to add another stream of income to my work at home business. I have read in many books that multi-stream income is very profitable. I knew Lauren and Hudson would start to school one day and not need a nanny, so I began to look for other opportunities- on the internet in addition to eBay. I firmly did not want to go back into corporate America, I still had my grandbabies and knew that I would soon become the taxi driver to and from the t-ball field, gymnastics, and I certainly did not want to miss their school programs, I couldn't get myself tied down with a 9-5 job. I knew that I could make money on the internet, but was not sure where to start

Every day while the grandbabies napped, I would get online and explore different ways of using the Internet to make money. I tried a couple of different internet marketing businesses. I wasn't going to give up, not only did I believe that there was something out in that far away place that would work for me, I had a burning desire to have a home based business. I wanted something that would make a good living, subsidize my retirement and evidently replace my nanny pay; I wanted something that I could do working at home. After all, I had been in the computer business, in one form or another for 21 years, I was educated, I had a good home support system and I wasn't looking for the million dollar job, just a steady income. I didn't want to set my sights so high that I could not attain the goals I was working towards.

In the first year, I spent a ton of money buying eBooks, membership sites, special reports, opt-in leads, and joining every affiliate program that promised success. Soon my mailbox was so full of business opportunities that I finally just hit the "DELETE" key.

That's when the light got brighter and I knew that I needed a website. I needed to get all the top affiliate programs that I did make a profit from into one place. I needed to get organized and stop spending money advertising each of my individual affiliates in single ezine ads. I needed a website when I could include the top performing affiliates then I could advertise those chosen few on my website. I had a "Plan". Well, that took some learning. I stayed up night after night trying to learn to build a website. I bought tons more ebooks, fortunately I was an affiliate of Clickbank.com. I still had high hopes of making money online. I knew the internet was a world of pure potential, a place where anything and everything was possible, after all, I had worked with computer most of my adult life and I turely believed that I coul make money on the internet.

In my second year of working part-time to build a home based income, I came across an ad while I doing Pay Per Click and landed on a page for a company named Success University. I read through the ad and what immediately caught my attention - Make money giving away FREE Professional Development Courses. This was right up my alley; it was a win-win situation. I could continue my education and promote the produce to encourage others to continue theirs. I related to Success University, so I added another affiliate to my list of many. I really did need a website to manage the many money makers I had become affiliated with. You can find all the details about Success University on my website www.workathometodayonline.com"

MY FIRST REAL WEBSITE EXPERIENCE

Though I have a family member who is a designer of corporate websites, I wasn't sure that I wanted to bring him into all this, after all I was in the learning phase, doing this part-time. Continuing my journey on the internet for possible work at home opportunities, I came across a program Plug-In Profit it was a professionally pre-designed website that actually included the vast majority of my affiliates, I did some research on it and found that is was being used by many people that had successful home based businesses. I actually got the website for FREE, and only had to pay a small amount per month for hosting fees, and it came with a great support team to help me out while I learned to use it. I was able to personalize it so that it had the look and feel that I wanted to portray for my business. Now that I have my first real website up and running www.workathometodayonline.com/ I was working my "plan", I could advertise all my affiliates on my own website...Life is good. Affiliate programs ROCK!

This was actually when I felt I had really taken the leap into my first Home Internet Marketing business. The timing was great, I knew that I would only be keeping the grandchildren for about 6 more months and they would then begin their venture out and socialize with other children in an educational learning center - so having the nanny income allotted me a few months to get up to speed with my new work at home business - after all my eBay Store and my new website would be my only means of income.

BEYOND THE PHYSICAL WORLD WE LIVE

Through the many experts available through the free courses at Success University, I have learned that they all started the same place I did. Although, they are further down the path to financial freedom than I am; they now have money, contacts and have gained a lot more experience than I have. However I had to realize I have not been out in the business world for 2 year, where I could talk to people about my business venture and get input, remember I have a set of now 2 year old twins - my grandbabies, they go to our church school program 2 days a week, for half a day, but that did not afford me the time I needed to research the vast amount of information to start an home base internet marketing business and build an website, the one thing that I did learn about the "experts" was that they were not always high earners, when they started they all had to travel the same secret faraway places that I have traveled. At some point they all had to stay up night after night until they learned the secret of success.

I hope that if you decide to try a home base internet marketing business, that you can get started, and be profitable faster than I did. However, due to my determination the many nights with loss of sleep and the strong desire to work from home was worth the rewards I have finally received. I continued to believe that surprising things happen every day, I believe that beyond your thoughts and emotions, there exists another world. A world of pure potential, a place where anything and everything are possible. The world of the internet! It is a very powerful world!

THE LEARNING EXPERIENCE WAS PRICELESS

I learned from one of the very best that in order to enter that world of pure potential, that world where anything and everything is possible, you must do a few things differently than the rest of us did. You must be able to master your own learning potential. From the start you must not only have the desire to start a home based business and work outside corporate America, quit the 9-5 shift, be your own boss, control your own time - You have to have a plan to accomplish all this - you have to have a plan to succeed! I didn't have a plan - I only knew I wanted to have a home based internet business. I like most people started out running for the finish line without a real plan. When I began to see this is more work than I wanted to put into a home base business, I was ready to throw up my hands and walk away, give up my dream; I was disappointed and disgusted. However, instead of allowing this to be a walking away point, this only convinced me that this struggling online entrepreneur had simply taken a wrong turn along the way and was traveling the wrong road. I needed to turn around, retrace my steps and figure out where I made the wrong turn - when did the light start dimming?

One of the biggest problems I had as a new internet marketer was throwing a website out there and checking the hit counters every day. This became very depressing to the point that I wanted to give up! I soon realized that even though I had this website, no one is going to look at or even know about it because I didn't advertise it. I didn't realize that just because I bought a domain name, got it registered and had a website that I was going to make money. OH, I have to advertise it, create links so search engines would find it. I found a few free advertising sites like Traffic Swarm on the internet - wrote an ad and waited for results - and I received a few emails from my Auto Responder. This gave me the hope I needed. I then moved to larger advertisers like Topsurfer and paid for "Solo Ads" advertising, again, I received more and more emails from my Get Response Auto Responder. In time, I began to learn how to make my advertising work for me. I learned that most affiliate programs will earn very little money on their own. I learned that I needed to become aware that there are tools available like SEO that will get you high ranking in the search engines. All of the tools I used to assist with promoting my home based business taught me how to work with my affiliate programs to make them profitable and work for me. I also learned that I had to give in order to receive -

BE A WINNER

To be a winner and succeed, from the very moment the seed is planted in your mind to have a home based business, you must begin by reading everything you can get your hands on. Don't just read the hype, don't believe or invest in all the ads you come across while you are clicking for points to pay for your free advertising. Ask people for their opinion, get some advice from others who have reviewed or are currently using the same programs you are researching. You can learn from their mistakes and their successes. Don't be afraid to ask for help. There is a wonderful group of PIP experts available to help you at PIPS Power Group.

One of the major decisions I finally made after wasting tons of money on software packages to learn how to setup a website was to use a pre-built program that was designed for me to succeed. It included many of the affiliate programs that I was already familiar with and that I was having success with. If you plan to step into a pre-designed and complete turn-key online money-making venture, I encourage you to examine the Plug-In Profit site that I used to set up my turn-key website www.workathometodayonline.com/ . I choose the Plug-In Profit site product because I did my research on it; I was ready to admit that I could not go it alone and the fact that it featured many of the products I was already marketing, and they have the best customer support team on the internet.

If you decide to go the journey on your own, then I definitely recommend you do all of the necessary research, planning and preparation that is needed for your success, it could be a long road, for me almost 2 year to find the right road to follow. For me to be successful I knew what I wanted to do, I just had to turn my "dream" into an "action plan" and then figure out how my website would generate a real income for me.

FOLLOW YOUR DREAM

Another thing that I learned late in my journey was to study your competitors and learn what is working for them and what did not work for them. Then determine your money plan. Even though you may think of this as a home business, you will still need to have a business plan, and a marketing plan. Utilize professional assistance like I did with Plug-In Profit , they did an excellent job in pulling all of my affiliate sites together. I choose them because they have, what I believe is the best on the web customer support and a user forum Warrior Pro, where you will connect with hundreds of PIP users and a support team that has the answer to any question or problem you may have with your website. While creating your plans, make a determination as to which domain name you think would be best, and then register it along with a hosting account, I use Host4Profit, but you will find several choices if you search the internet. I knew that I wanted to promote Success University; they have a ton of professional development courses, the same ones I taught when I worked in corporate America so I could relate to this company. Clickbank, my first affiliate, was my main sources of research when I was going through this learning experience - they have hundreds of thousands of eBooks on any subject you can think of, I certainly didn't have time to go to the book store. SFI - is a great company and I continue to promote and purchase products for use in my home. Stone Evans, designer of the Plug-In Profit system and Author of "Dotcomolgy - The Science of Making Money Online", was a great source of information, you can receive this for Free on my website, along with the excellent courses on Marketing, Real Estate, Motivation, Goal Setting, Time Management, just to list a few at Success University, topics on everything I needed to know to start my home based business. Success University has hundreds of courses and audio video that will assist you in continuing education. This program can be used for your personal growth or your personal gain. They are located in 108 countries so there are no language barriers ther. Then there is the internet where you can search and find a ton of educational material that will take you step by step through the same process to start your home internet business. I have a dream, now I have an action plan to make that dream come true.

When you are ready to open for business, don't be afraid to spend the money to bring your dream alive. Just do your research and spend it in the right places. Look beyond the physical world that you can see, out there, beyond your thoughts and emotions, there exists another world - the Internet.

I wish you the best if you should decide to follow your dream. Stay in touch, and let me know how it goes for you. I am always interested in reading a success story - post it on my website for the world to read.
